Privacy Policy

Hobbify (hobbify-skills.com) is run by Jo King, an independent UK craft writer. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, and how it's used. We keep it short because we genuinely don't collect much.

What we collect

Information you give us

Provider submissions. If you use the submission form on our For providers page, we collect the details you enter (business name, contact name, email address, website, and information about your classes). We use this only to review and respond to your enquiry.

Newsletter. If you sign up for our newsletter, we collect your email address so we can send you the weekly email. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in every email. Our newsletter sign-ups and form submissions are processed by Brevo (see third-party services below).

Information collected automatically

With your consent, we use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use the site — for example which pages are popular and which country visitors come from. Google Analytics sets cookies and may process your IP address and device information. We only load it after you accept analytics cookies in our cookie banner; if you decline, no analytics cookies are set and no analytics data is collected.

We do not use advertising pixels (such as Meta Pixel), and we do not sell your personal data.

Cookies

We don't set any cookies until you choose to accept them. When you first visit, a banner asks whether you'll allow analytics cookies:

• If you accept, Google Analytics sets cookies (for example _ga) to measure site usage. Your choice is remembered on your device so we don't ask again.
• If you decline, no analytics cookies are set.

You can change your choice at any time by clearing your browser's site data for hobbify-skills.com, which makes the banner appear again. If you click through to an affiliate partner (ClassBento, CraftCourses, Domestika, or others), those sites have their own cookie and privacy policies.

Affiliate links

Third-party services

• Cloudflare — hosts and serves this website (Cloudflare Pages) and provides CDN and security services. Cloudflare processes server request logs, which may include IP addresses, for security and performance. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.
• Brevo — processes our newsletter sign-ups and provider form submissions, and stores subscriber email addresses. See Brevo's privacy policy.
• Google Analytics — measures site usage, and only after you accept analytics cookies. See Google's privacy policy.

Your rights (UK GDPR)

Changes to this policy

We'll update this page if anything changes and note the date at the top. We won't email you every time we tweak a comma.
